Mélanie is a teenager who feels rather uncomfortable with her overweight. She privileges friendships with girls and thinks that the boys find her “fat and ugly”. In spite of this, Mélanie chats the boys up - it's even her favourite pastime – although she prefers to remain single to safeguard her freedom.
She convinced us with her natural ways and her outspokenness. Mélanie has a very good relationship with her father and reserves her outbursts for her mother, whom she accuses of preferring her little brother to her.
The teenager who was eager to taste forbidden adult pleasures and always ready to overstep the limits imposed by her parents, has made peace with her mother. After a tumultuous 8-year relationship that ended in pain, Mélanie, now single again, tries to assess her failure. For the time being, she finds her balance in solitude.
She is in no hurry to give up her freedom to settle down: “When you decide to have a child, you take second place for a long time.” She has decided to trust in life and is focusing on her new work as a professional counsellor.
